Missha: M Perfect Cover SPF42 PA+++ vs M Signature Real Complete SPF25 PA++

I don’t need to introduce anyone to the players of today’s entry. Korean brand Missha is well known to all K-Beauty lovers and is one of the first brands I dealt with. It's easy to guess that I started with a BB cream and my choice fell on Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF42 PA +++, which turned out to be pretty good and it’s a pretty frequent guest on my shelf. After some time I felt lack of comparison ground so I decided to try a different BB of the same label and chose Missha M Signature Real Complete SPF25 PA ++. Both choices were fairly safe, as they are very popular BBs and there’s plenty of information on them. I decided to compare them when I realized that in my case there is a drastic difference between the two. To the point.

The differences can be seen immediately, though the aesthetics of the packaging isn’t important for me as long as it’s functional. Both BB creams use tubes with pumps - M Perfect Cover is a soft, simple one, while M Signature Real Complete is a hard, quite pretty one. My first purchase of the latter wasn’t too good due to too dark color (23), so having given him a second chance (in sample size though) I chose the same shade which I have M ​​Perfect Cover in, which is 21. How very wrong was I... the first paradox and a note to self - two different BBs of same brand don’t have to be the same shade even if the shade numbers are matching... Unfortunately for me, M Signature Real Complete in 21 is much darker (and it’s a pink beige) than M Perfect Cover in 21.

The light was a bit off that day, sorry about that. I hope the shades difference is noticeable though...

The second difference, very important for me is the ingredients. If I'm not mistaken, M Perfect Cover is slightly older version, M Signature Real Complete is more like an upgrade. The first has a few flaws when it comes to their INCI list... CosDNA shows us that clearly: M Perfect Cover vs. M Signature Real Complete. You can easily see the difference, right? But here's another paradox, less perfect composition of the first one has no negative effect on my skin... On the contrary - spreads on the skin easily, smoothes the skin, moisturizes quite ok, good adhesion for most of the day, conceals pores and has a good SPF42; whereby M Signature Real Complete is a little more difficult to use, seems to be more greasy, quickly disappearing from the skin and only SPF25...

To be clear - I’m not saying that any of these products is better or worse. I only learned that in this case a more natural composition isn’t necessarily better for me... I’m slightly disappointed, of course. However, it’s Missha M Perfect Cover SPF42 PA+++ that stays on my shelf.

Nie muszę nikomu przedstawiać bohaterów dzisiejszego wpisu. Koreańska marka Missha jest powszechnie znana wszystkim miłośnikom kosmetyków azjatyckich i jest jedną z pierwszych z jakimi miałam do czynienia. Łatwo zgadnąć, że zaczęłam od kremów BB i mój wybór padł na Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF42 PA+++, który okazał się całkiem dobry i mogę go zaliczyć do produktów mających częste miejsce na mojej półce. Po jakimś czasie poczułam niedosyt (z powodu braku czegoś innego do porównania), więc postanowiłam spróbować innego BB tej samej firmy i wybrałam Missha M Signature Real Complete SPF25 PA++. Obydwa wybory były dość bezpieczne, jako że są kosmetykami bardzo popularnymi i jest mnóstwo informacji na ich temat. Zdecydowałam się je porównać, gdy zdałam sobie sprawę, że w moim przypadku jest drastyczna różnica między nimi. Do rzeczy.

Różnice widać od razu, chociaż estetyka opakowania nie jest dla mnie istotna, jeśli jest funkcjonalne. Obydwa kremy BB są tubkami z pompką, M Perfect Cover ma tubkę miękką, podczas gdy M Signature Real Complete jest zupełnie twarda. Mój pierwszy zakup tego ostatniego był nietrafiony ze względu na zbyt ciemny kolor (23) więc dając mu drugą szansę (ale w postaci próbek) wybrałam ten sam kolor, który mam w M Perfect Cover, czyli 21. Jak bardzo się pomyliłam kolejny raz… pierwszy paradoks i do zapamiętania dla samej siebie: dwa różne kremy BB tej samej firmy nie muszą mieć tego samego odcienia, nawet jeśli nr się zgadza… Niestety dla mnie, M Signature Real Complete w wersji 21 jest zdecydowanie ciemniejszy (i ma różowy odcień), niż ten sam nr w przypadku M Perfect Cover.

Różnica druga, bardzo istotna dla mnie, to składy. O ile się nie mylę, to M Perfect Cover jest starszą nieco wersją, M Signature Real Complete jest jakby wersją upgrade. Ten pierwszy ma kilka “ale” jeśli chodzi o skład… CosDNA pokazuje nam to dokładnie: M Perfect Cover kontra M Signature Real Complete. Od razu widać różnicę, prawda? Ale tutaj kolejny paradoks, gorszy skład pierwszego nie ma żadnego negatywnego wpływu na moją cerę… Wręcz przeciwnie - rozprowadza się świetnie, wygładza skórę, całkiem ok nawilża, trzyma się większość dnia, maskuje pory no i ma SPF42; przy czym M Signature Real Complete jest troszkę trudniejszy do nałożenia, wg mnie jest bardziej “tłusty” i tępy, szybciej schodzi z twarzy i jedynie SPF25…

Żeby było jasne - nie mówię, że któryś z powyższych produktów jest lepszy albo gorszy. Wyrażam jedynie swoje spostrzeżenia po przekonaniu się na własnej skórze, że bardziej naturalny skład niekoniecznie służy mi lepiej… czym jestem lekko rozczarowana oczywiście. Ale to jednak Missha M Perfect Cover zostaje na mojej półce.
